Vasily is a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto in the field of neural engineering while working towards his P.Eng and has several years of mathematical finance experience. He also volunteers with Biomedical Engineering Student Association.
Maria is a software engineer for IBM Canada Ltd. She has been involved with IEEE through the student branch in Athens during her undergraduate studies and continues her service through the IEEE Young Professionals branch in Toronto. Maria is also passionate about photography and traveling.
As an Engineering Alumni of UofT, Jenny has lots of love for innovative technology and startups. She believes that the future is in the hands of our young professionals: it is for us to identify and awaken people’s needs for efficiency and convenience, and then tailor solutions towards those needs.
Katrina has several years of management consulting experience in the healthcare and public sectors, as well as organizations like the Ontario Hospital Association and IBM Risk Analytics. She also volunteers with the Endeavour Volunteer Consulting group and CIBC Run for the Cure.
Omid received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and is currently a Research Associate with Centre for Urban Energy at Ryerson University, where he is conducting system studies on Hydro One's power network. Omid also served as the Chair of IEEE Young Professionals team in London, ON.
A recent Ryerson University Electrical Engineering alumni, Sebastian's technical interests include embedded systems, software development, electronics. He was a Vice President of the IEEE Ryerson Chapter, and in his free time he enjoys dancing, music, going to the gym, and meeting new people.
Nikoo is a MASc. Candidate at Ryerson university in the field of electrical engineering and her main focus is on power electronics. Her previous research was mostly about power system optimization and maintenance. She spends her leisure time traveling, reading books and watching movies.
